In lifting operations, a LEEA appointed person responsible for the execution and safety of a lifting operation. Although duties may be delegated to others, it is the appointed person who retains the responsibility of the operation.
The job is very important, because the appointed person needs good know how, to lift and work safely.
LEEA appointed person shall be able to evaluate the conditions and equipment of the site and recommend the types of tasks performed.
The appointed person shall also provide direction, oversight, and notify all the authorities involved in order to ensure the work is carried out in the safest possible manner.
LEEA appointed person must be in a position to assess the location and the facilities and recommend the type of activity carried out.
Competencies, including expertise, are often evaluated by various criteria. A person can show his or her expertise in many ways as a designated lifting operation. All lifting operations are properly planned appropriately supervised and carried out safely by competent persons, the competent person in charge of the lift will be required to inspect crane and operator certification and must allow use the operator to read the method statement and risk assessment assessment, but Leea is one of the simple and most agreed qualifications.
